Exclusive Club, Calicut was formed on the 30th day of April, 1993. Exclusive club is the brain child of Mr. A.P. Krishnakumar, Mr.Sudarshan Thampi, Mr. Thomas Mathew and Mr. Rajarathnam some of the stalwarts of Calicut city. The club is located at O.P. Raman Road, about 200 meters to the North of the Kozhikode Civil Station [Collectorate] and is about one kilometer from Eranhipalam Junction [ mini bye pass] from west and one kilometer from the Malaparamba junction [ main bye pass] from East.

Mr. A.P. Krishna Kumar was the founder president of the club with Mr. K.S. Sudharshan Thampi as the Secretary and Mr. Thomas Mathew as treasurer. The club started initially with a membership of Rs.15, 000/- for the first 200 members who where made life members and the fees was later enhanced to Rs.25, 000/-. Presently the membership fees is Rs.1, 00,000/- with a monthly subscription of Rs.100/- excluding service and luxury tax. The club is situated in a sprawling 3 acres 46 cents of land wherein club house is situated. The serene ambience of the club surrounded by lush green and far from the city traffic is vital in encouraging relaxation. Club obtained permit room license in the year 2004 .

The club house consists of an A/c permit room on the first floor, five air conditioned double rooms for letting out, an A/c conference hall and an A/c cards room.

The club is having a mini Olympic specific swimming pool and has got an out door shuttle court, volley ball court, cricketing nets, sevens team soccer ground and a fully equipped health club in addition to an indoor shuttle court, billiards table , table tennis, caroms & cards room.

The exclusive club is in proud possession of one the best lawns in Calicut city. The club is having a full fledged kitchen wherein food is catered to its members according to their choice and includes Indiian,continental,chineese, tandoori, etc. The club has facilities for holding marriages, receptions, conferences, meetings and parties. Club has a parking area for parking 100 cars.

At present the club has got 1088 members. The members are classified into ten categories viz., Life member, Ordinary member, Honorary member, Institution member, Patron member, Temporary member, Spouse member, Senior Citizen member, Special Category member, Children of Charter member, Children of deceased member.

The main objectives of the club are to : - Promote health awareness and to provide amenities for recreation including pass times such as out door, Indoor sports, games etc to members & their family. -To promote cultural and social activities -To maintain a library and reading room. -To construct and maintain buildings, halls for conducting marriages, cultural activities and meetings. -To render financial help to poor students by providing scholarships, books, uniforms etc
